Belayr

Example page. A made-up invitation showing what a contact sees when an account holder sends them their link. Nothing entered here is saved, and no text is sent.
Jamie Rivera has listed Sam as an emergency contact on Belayr.

What you are agreeing to

Jamie Rivera starts a timer before something like walking home or showing a house. If they check in, you never hear from us. If they do not, you get a text with a link to their last known location and instructions. If Jamie Rivera presses Belayr's panic button, or signals for help with its duress check-in, you get a text saying so. When it is over, you get a text saying so. If Jamie Rivera runs a practice alert, you get one text marked PRACTICE.

You will also get a short notice when this arrangement itself changes: if Jamie Rivera adds or removes a contact, changes their safe word, signs in on a new device, or closes their account. Those exist so that somebody who takes Jamie Rivera's phone cannot quietly cut you out of it, and you are the person who would notice. They are rare. And if a text to you ever fails to arrive, Jamie Rivera can have Belayr send one more to check your number still works.

Nothing else. No marketing, no newsletters. You can remove yourself at any time from that same link, or reply STOP to any text from Belayr.

Nothing is sent to you unless you tick the text message box and tap Yes. Not your number? Tap No thanks.
